Title: How You Can Live Your Best Life
Alison has an undergraduate degree in Human Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies in 2010 and her certificate in Whole Foods Plant Based Nutrition in 2017 from T. Colin Campbell’s Center for Nutrition Studies. She is a diplomate of The American College of Lifestyle Medicine and is a Certified Lifestyle Medicine Professional since 2020. She continues to practice part time as a Physician Assistant in Hospital Medicine, but spends most of her time spreading knowledge of a whole foods plant based lifestyle and running a local gym that she owns with her husband. She is also a busy mom of 3 small children.

Henri P. Lanctin, MS, MD, FACS
Title: How what we eat affects the development and
growth of cancer.
Dr. Lanctin is a board-certified urologist who practices at Prairie Lakes Healthcare System in Watertown, SD. Originally from eastern Canada, Dr. Lanctin completed his urology training at the University of Ottawa. He also has a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Memorial University of Newfoundland. After practicing in Nova Scotia, Canada for four years he relocated to the US with his family in 1994. He has been practicing the whole foods, plant-based lifestyle for almost 7 years. Due to his clinical experience and significant family history of cancer, his main area of interest outside of urology is on the effects of nutrition on the development and growth of cancer. He has completed the Nutrition and Healthy Living Certificate course through Cornell University.

Dr. Ethan Helder grew up in the Brookings area regularly seeing the doctors at Dobson Chiropractic Clinic for help with his knee and back pain as well as nutritional therapy. While attending Brookings High and SDSU, Dr. Helder achieved his black belt in Tae Kwon Do from Victory Martial Arts while studying for his bachelor’s in microbiology with a focus on infectious disease. He attended NorthWestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN to attain his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and is currently pursuing a Certified Clinician in Whole Food Nutrition certification from the International Foundation for Nutrition and Health. He loves chiropractic but his true passion is treating complex health issues using functional medicine and nutrition therapy.

Dr. Wayne H. Carr earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National College of Chiropractic in 1987. Upon graduation, he too joined the family practice. Dr. Wayne is certified in acupuncture, Graston® Technique, and sports injuries. He holds a Diplomate status in Rehabilitation and is a certified Functional Medicine Provider thru the Institute of Functional Medicine. Dr. Wayne enjoys volunteering in the community and for his profession.
Ashley is a passionate health coach who joined the team at Carr Chiropractic Clinic in April of 2020. She is pursuing her degree in dietetics to achieve her Registered Dietitian licensing. Ashley is passionate about implementing positive change in her community based around improving the health and wellness of the community members.
